Surfcasters on Nantucket Island, 1948. Photo by Barbara Bonbright Smith (Gammy, my grandmother)
My interest in art and photography began some 60 years ago, and many family members have shared my passion.
Here are some of our images … and check out son Ian’s website. He’s a professional photographer who’s had three photobooks published by Deadbeat Club in Los Angeles.
They include Meadowlark, one of TIME’s 20 Best Photobooks of 2022. His latest work, The Weight of Ash, focuses on wildfires in the American West.
Next up on my website: some of my best of photos of Newfound Lake in New Hampshire (the first of several collections I plan to post).
Thanks for looking!
